There are two ways to see which students are enrolled in which groups:
Through the Classlist it is possible to filter by groups and sections.
- Click on Classlist in the navbar
To use groups in the Classlist, you need to create groups first. More about creating groups can be found in this article.
1. Next to View By there is a drop-down list where you can select User or Groups. Select Groups.
2. Click Apply to only see the students in the group you have filtered on. If there are no sections or groups in your course, the options View By: Groups and Sections will not appear.
2. Via Groups
You can only create an overview per category. If you have more than one category, you need to make multiple overviews.
In your Course, go to Course Tools and select Groups. This opens the Manage Groups section. Click on Export:
Select the correct Category and select the Group you want to have the overview of (Select All creates an overview of all groups in the selected category) and click on Export
You will see when the file is ready. Then click on Download.
Note: this is a CSV file, so all data is in one column. To get the data in multiple columns, select the first column, go to Data, click Text to columns, select Separated, click Next, select the Comma box, click Next again and then Finish.
