This article explains how to submit a video assignment in Brightspace using Clipchamp.
Video assignments must first be uploaded to Clipchamp before they can be submitted. Access to Clipchamp is required for this. Below you will find instructions on how to upload a video assignment in Clipchamp.
Step 1: Uploading the video in Clipchamp
- Go to the Clipchamp home page.
- Click Een video uploaden (Upload a video)
- Click Bestanden selecteren (Select Files)
- Click the video you want to upload.
- Click Openen (Open)
Share video
To ensure that your teacher can actually view the video you submit, you need to share it in Clipchamp
- Go to your video and click the three dots that appear.
- Click Delen (Share)
- Enter the name of the person or people you want to share the link with.
- Change the permissions to 'Kan weergeven' (Can display)
- Click Koppeling kopiëren (Copy link) and paste the link into the assignment in Brightspace (see step 2).

When you want to edit a video
Step 2: Submit the Clipchamp video in the Brightspace assignment
Make sure you have shared the video in Clipchamp with your teacher(s)!
- Go to Assignments
- Click the assignment you want to submit.
- Click the Insert Stuff icon to add the video link.
Make sure the link has a clear name so the teacher can easily identify the video.
- Click Insert Link
- Paste the Clipchamp link code into the text field.
- Click Next
- Click Insert
- Click Submit
- Click Done
The video upload is now complete.
Make sure the assignment submission type is set to Text Submission. If you receive an error message saying “You must select at least one file”, this means the wrong submission type has been selected. Please contact the teacher and ask them to change the submission type to Text Submission.
