How do I publish feedback for a quiz?

Updated on

This article explains how to publish the feedback for a quiz.

You have created a quiz and provided feedback for individual answers or questions. To publish this feedback to students, follow the next steps:

  1. Open Quizzes > Manage Quizzes, via the Navbar of your Course Homepage.
  2. Find the quiz, of which the feedback must be published. With the drop-down menu, Edit the quiz.

3. Click on Evaluation & Feedback on the right hand side of the screen.

4. Click on Customize Quiz Results Displays.

5. You will be directed to the page where the viewing properties of quizzes can be selected. You can either edit the default view or create a new view. Note that if you create a new view, that you will have to manually select this view for each quiz where you wish for the students to see the new view.

Once you have decided whether you want to change the default view or create a new view, you will be brought to the following screen.

  1. (Only when you have chosen to create a New View): Choose when students get to see this view instead of the default view, and for how long this will remain visible.
  2. Message. Here, you can change the text that students see when they have completed the quiz.
  3. Choose whether students can see their grade upon completion.
  4. Show Questions? You can allow your students to re-examine the questions, or not. If you choose to show them the questions, select which ones:
    • All questions
    • Only the incorrect questions with user response
    • Only the correct questions with user response
  5. You may also want to:
    • Show class average
    • Show score distribution
  6. Click on Create to create your new view.
  7. Click on OK.

You will now return to the Edit quiz menu.
